Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Onlypicker at none against Garmin Golf's 2. Onlypicker also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). Garmin Golf's advantage is ratings volume (7.2K vs 1) and chart position (#65 vs unranked). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Garmin Golf sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Onlypicker asks for nothing beyond the download.
Onlypicker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Garmin Golf has 7.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Onlypicker's written reviews are positive against 50% of Garmin Golf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Onlypicker ships an update every 3 months, Garmin Golf every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
