Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Večernji list at 2.5 against Blic's 1.7. Večernji list also leads on review sentiment (31% vs 15%). Blic's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Večernji list sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Blic asks for nothing beyond the download.
Večernji list holds the better App Store score, 2.5 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blic has 228 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 31% of Večernji list's written reviews are positive against 15% of Blic's.
Večernji list ships an update every 3 months, Blic every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
