Verdict
The clearest difference is price: LensLight Visual Effects at $4.99 against Distressed FX's $19.99. LensLight Visual Effects also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 13). Distressed FX's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 134). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

LensLight Visual Effects costs $4.99 and Distressed FX $19.99 up front. Distressed FX sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. LensLight Visual Effects asks for nothing beyond the download.
Distressed FX holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Distressed FX has 1.2K ratings behind it against 134, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of LensLight Visual Effects's written reviews are positive against 72% of Distressed FX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
LensLight Visual Effects ships an update every 2 months, Distressed FX every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
