Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Cape News at 5.0 against MassLive.com's 4.5. Cape News also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). MassLive.com's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (6.2K vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
