Verdict
MLive.com and Battle Creek Enquirer both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 59% of Battle Creek Enquirer's written reviews are positive against 12% of MLive.com's. Battle Creek Enquirer also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). MLive.com's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 290) and chart position (#86 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.
