Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Belfry Security at free against eHub's freemium. Belfry Security also leads on review sentiment (26% vs 15%). eHub's advantage is ratings volume (1.7K vs 70) and rating (3.1 vs 2.9). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
eHub holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: eHub has 1.7K ratings behind it against 70, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of eHub's written reviews are positive against 26% of Belfry Security's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
eHub ships an update every 5 weeks, Belfry Security every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
