WHY NERZIA EXISTS Most GRE prep apps lie about your score to keep you engaged. We don't. Our score predictor uses the official ETS 130-170 scale with a non-linear curve calibrated to actual GRE percentiles. Our AWA grader uses the same 0-6 rubric ETS readers use. Our vocabulary list comes from real GRE word frequency patterns — not 1,000 random SAT words rebranded. We're new. We don't have 10,000 reviews yet. We have something better: an app built specifically for the 2026 GRE format, priced honestly, mobile-first. REAL TALK Predicted scores are estimates (within ±5 points). To know your exact GRE score, always take an official ETS PowerPrep before test day. Use Nerzia for daily practice, drilling, and AWA feedback — use PowerPrep for final calibration. Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: GRE at 78% against GRE Prep & Practice's 0%. GRE also leads on rating (4.9 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (172 vs 2). GRE Prep & Practice's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. GRE sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and GRE Prep & Practice sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
GRE holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GRE has 172 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 78% of GRE's written reviews are positive against 0% of GRE Prep & Practice's.
GRE ships an update every 6 months, GRE Prep & Practice every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
