This app provides a perfect way to keep me organized and focused at a glance" - Fc222 "Not useful at all.Useless app" - nick9087965 (to be fair, there are some bad reviews) Drag and drop organization You can create as many lists as you need. Adding items to your list can be done one-at-a-time or in bulk. Create a list for your projects, clients, to-dos, grocery list, research, homework, wedding plans, someday tasks, or ideas you want to research later. Not out of sight, out of mind Everything is in front of you, so you're less likely to forget something. An added advantage of this format is that your lists form an inverted bar graph - some will be short and others long. If you're using the app for project management you'll know the status of each project. Flexible Priorities, new info, schedule changes. They happen. Put your finger down on time-consuming add/edit/reorder organization tools. Spend less time editing and more time moving cards to suit your workflow. Get detailed Just type a few words to create a card in your list. If you want to add more information you can tap the card and add notes or set a due date. Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: gTasks for Google Tasks at every 5 days against Taskboard's every 2 months. gTasks for Google Tasks also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 46). Taskboard's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. gTasks for Google Tasks sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Taskboard sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
gTasks for Google Tasks holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: gTasks for Google Tasks has 2.8K ratings behind it against 46, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of gTasks for Google Tasks's written reviews are positive against 87% of Taskboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
gTasks for Google Tasks ships an update every 5 days, Taskboard every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and June 9, 2026 respectively.
