Verdict

The call

Dice and Mobi by Rogers both sit at 3.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 64% of Dice's written reviews are positive against 18% of Mobi by Rogers's. Dice also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). Mobi by Rogers's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, rating and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Mobi by Rogers holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mobi by Rogers has 291 ratings behind it against 54, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Dice's written reviews are positive against 18% of Mobi by Rogers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
