Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: MINGHUI at 4.8 against 新唐人電視台 NTDTV's 3.9. MINGHUI also leads on ratings volume (844 vs 53). 新唐人電視台 NTDTV's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 63%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
MINGHUI holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MINGHUI has 844 ratings behind it against 53, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of 新唐人電視台 NTDTV's written reviews are positive against 63% of MINGHUI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
新唐人電視台 NTDTV ships an update every 3 months, MINGHUI every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
