Verdict
The clearest difference is price: SlideStream at Free against Comic Life's $4.99. SlideStream also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 61%) and rating (4.0 vs 3.6). Comic Life's advantage is ratings volume (46 vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On ads, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
