Supported wallboxes: Easee, Fronius Wattpilot, go-e Charger, Zaptec, NRGkick Connect, SMA EV Charger 22, Wallbox Pulsar Plus and Alfen Eve. SolarDashboard also supports direct vehicle integration for selected electric cars from Audi, SEAT and Škoda. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SolarEdge Mapper at none against SolarDashboard's 1. SolarEdge Mapper also leads on ratings volume (651 vs 32) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). SolarDashboard's advantage is review sentiment (61% vs 30%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SolarDashboard sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. SolarEdge Mapper asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

SolarEdge Mapper holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SolarEdge Mapper has 651 ratings behind it against 32, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of SolarEdge Mapper's written reviews are positive against 61% of SolarDashboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

SolarEdge Mapper ships an update every 5 weeks, SolarDashboard fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
