Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: DayTime at free with in-app purchases against World Clock Pro's subscription. DayTime also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). World Clock Pro's advantage is review sentiment (77% vs 50%) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. DayTime sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 6 months and World Clock Pro sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
World Clock Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: World Clock Pro has 1.3K ratings behind it against 150, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of DayTime's written reviews are positive against 77% of World Clock Pro's.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
