Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Cloude at none against My Contacts Backup's shown. Cloude also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months). My Contacts Backup's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. My Contacts Backup sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cloude sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Cloude holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Contacts Backup has 10K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of My Contacts Backup's written reviews are positive against 57% of Cloude's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
My Contacts Backup ships an update every 3 months, Cloude every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
