Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Star Alliance at 4.8 against Lufthansa VR's 2.3. Star Alliance also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months) and review sentiment (18% vs 0%). Lufthansa VR's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
