Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: SaturnMoons at 5.0 against StarTracker HD's 4.0. SaturnMoons also leads on chart position (#197 vs unranked) and device support (3 vs 1). StarTracker HD's advantage is update cadence (every 5 months vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (43 vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

SaturnMoons holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StarTracker HD has 43 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of StarTracker HD's written reviews are positive against 40% of SaturnMoons's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

StarTracker HD ships an update every 5 months, SaturnMoons every 26 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
