Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Azkar Oasis at none against Quran Explorer's 2. Azkar Oasis also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). Quran Explorer's advantage is ratings volume (54K vs 276). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quran Explorer sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Azkar Oasis asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Quran Explorer against 4.7 for Azkar Oasis. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quran Explorer has 54K ratings behind it against 276, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 93% of Quran Explorer's written reviews are positive against 99% of Azkar Oasis's.
Quran Explorer ships an update every 6 months, Azkar Oasis every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
