fuelTool vs Fuel Planner
Price, ratings, monetisation and update history for both apps, side by side — with what reviewers say about each.
fuelTool
This aviation tool simplifies fuel uplift and weight calculations, allowing users to determine limiting mass, allowable fuel, or payload. It supports various unit conversions and can store aircraft data for faster calculations.
- Fuel uplift calculation (LBS/KG to LTR)
- Split fuel calculation for left & right tanks
- Weight calculation for limiting mass, fuel, or payload
- Crosswind calculation with METAR data
- Aircraft data management (add, edit, delete)
- Downloadable company aircraft data

fuelTool is a fuel uplift and (limiting) weight calculator and can be used in general by any one in aviation to calculate limiting mass very easily. If you or your company supplies information about the DOW, DOI and limiting masses, then your aircrafts can be downloaded into the app, which makes the calculating even faster, because all the relevant figures are already in place! Features: - Calculate refueling from LBS->LTR or KG->LTR, and split Left & Right Tanks - Calculate with fuel density figures (after re-feuling) - Weight calculation (determine limiting mass, allowable fuel or payload) - Crosswind calculation, with actual METAR info (if you have an internet connection) - Maintain list of aircrafts (add/edit/delete) - Download your company's aircraft data (if made available to me)
Fuel Planner
Read full descriptionHide full description
Fuel Planner puts professional flight departments’ tankering maths in every pilot’s pocket. Just enter your route, fuel prices, reserve policy and (optionally) weight-penalty %, then tap Calculate. Behind the scenes a dynamic-programming engine compares unrestricted and ramp-fee-waiver–constrained strategies, optimising gallon purchases at every stop. You instantly receive: a one-paragraph “Pilot Action Brief” telling you exactly how much to uplift at each leg, and a detailed cost breakdown (fuel, ramp fees, weight-penalty) for audit or dispatcher review. Trips can be saved, shared as a single file, or re-imported later. Everything stays on-device; no network connection, log-in, or subscription required. Built natively in SwiftUI, Fuel Planner works offline, respects your privacy, and calculates results in a blink even for multi-leg itineraries.
