Students use colored markers on the Interactive Hundreds Chart to represent patterns and number sequences. Using Hands-On Math: Interactive Hundreds Chart students can develop the following important mathematical concepts: Skip-Counting Number Patterns Multiplication and Division Facts Prime and Composite Numbers Least Common Multiple Divisibility of Numbers and more... An extensive Instructor's Guide for this app is available at the support website. Download the document and install it in iBooks to access ideas about how to use the Interactive Hundreds Chart for teaching elementary mathematics. Extremely easy for students and teachers to use. Tap a color and a marker, then tap numbers on the chart. To remove a marker simply slide it off the chart. Erase all markers by tapping the eraser. Note to reviewer: Simply slide a marker off the board to remove it. There is no need to erase entire board if you make a mistake.

Ages 3-6. Numbers and Patterns naturally go hand in hand. This app will help your child to visualize the sequencing of numbers, thus helping them build a firm foundation for mathematics. Activities like this were used by Manel Wickremasinghe for her Montessori students in the 1970s. Of course, it was done with paper and colored pencils back then! Today Manel is happy to bring this concept for children to practice number sequencing via the iPad. It is one of our most popular math apps in the App Store! In this extension of the Hundred Board children can assemble patterns by identifying the correct numbers as they are heard aloud. The app is very easy to follow: 1. Choose an activity from the Home Page. 2. Touch the large speaker button to hear the next number required to assemble the pattern. 3. Touch that number on the Hundred Board and the colored square will transfer to the board to assemble the pattern. 4. Your score will appear at the bottom. Number pattern exercises help children reinforce their ability to identify numbers and their sequence. Activities like this are often created by Montessori teachers when children need help with these concepts.
