Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Live Gallery at 3.0 against Sedition Art's 2.3. Sedition Art's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 26 months) and review sentiment (38% vs 20%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Sedition Art sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Live Gallery sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Live Gallery holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sedition Art has 22 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Sedition Art's written reviews are positive against 20% of Live Gallery's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Sedition Art ships an update every 3 weeks, Live Gallery every 26 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
