Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Radiology Assistant 2.0 at 4.5 against iRadTech HD's 3.3. Radiology Assistant 2.0 also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 19 months) and ratings volume (30 vs 4). iRadTech HD's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 36%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. iRadTech HD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Radiology Assistant 2.0 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Radiology Assistant 2.0 holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Radiology Assistant 2.0 has 30 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of iRadTech HD's written reviews are positive against 36% of Radiology Assistant 2.0's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

iRadTech HD ships an update every 19 months, Radiology Assistant 2.0 every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
