Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: Infuse at Free against JRemote's $12.99. Infuse also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.8) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). JRemote's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On review sentiment, ads and chart position there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Infuse holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Infuse has 28K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of JRemote's written reviews are positive against 60% of Infuse's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

JRemote ships an update every 3 months, Infuse fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
