ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Jellyfin Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jellyfin Mobile has 467 ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of JRemote's written reviews are positive against 50% of Jellyfin Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

JRemote ships an update every 3 months, Jellyfin Mobile every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
