Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Epson iProjection at 4.3 against Smart K's 1.7. Epson iProjection also leads on ratings volume (3.6K vs 19) and review sentiment (20% vs 6%). Smart K's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
