Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Conquest at 5.0 against Warlands's 4.1. Conquest also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 67%). Warlands's advantage is ratings volume (197 vs 3) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Warlands sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Conquest sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Conquest holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Warlands has 197 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Warlands's written reviews are positive against 100% of Conquest's.
Warlands ships an update every 2 months, Conquest every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
