Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: DJI Virtual Flight at 3.9 against MindWave Mobile Tutorial's 3.2. DJI Virtual Flight also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 75 months) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 14). MindWave Mobile Tutorial's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 34%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
DJI Virtual Flight holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DJI Virtual Flight has 1.8K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of MindWave Mobile Tutorial's written reviews are positive against 34% of DJI Virtual Flight's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
MindWave Mobile Tutorial ships an update every 75 months, DJI Virtual Flight every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
