Both are free to download. Nimtastic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Classic Nim asks for nothing beyond the download.
Classic Nim holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Classic Nim has 99 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Classic Nim's written reviews are positive against 75% of Nimtastic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Classic Nim ships an update every 9 months, Nimtastic every 14 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
