Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: 猫眼 at 1.5K against SIFF's 1. 猫眼 also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.2). SIFF's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
SIFF holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 猫眼 has 1.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
猫眼 ships an update monthly, SIFF fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
