Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: 猫眼 at 4.7 against JayMe's 2.3. 猫眼 also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 3). JayMe's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. JayMe sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. 猫眼 asks for nothing beyond the download.
猫眼 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 猫眼 has 1.5K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 49% and 50% positive.
猫眼 ships an update monthly, JayMe every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
