Draw a path and see its elevation profile. Draw an area and see the ground itself: its highest and lowest points, its slopes and contours, in 3D. Anywhere on Earth, with the numbers a planner needs. Can you see it from here? Draw a straight path between two places and turn on Line of Sight. The ground is drawn over the curve of the Earth, with the line from your eye to the far end: green while it clears, orange where the ground gets in the way, and the clearance in feet or meters. Below sea level, the sea is told from dry land, so Death Valley stays land. The view from any point. Draw a circle and turn on View from Center: what its center can see turns green and what the ground hides turns red, on the map and in 3D, with the share in view. Then Look: stand at the center at the true height of the ground and look around, in relief or satellite imagery, with a compass, a mini map and the land beyond as the skyline. Walk around and zoom in: the ground sharpens where you look. Paths that follow the trail. Add a few points and choose Walking, Cycling or Driving: each leg follows the real path or road. A second later the profile is there, one sample every 30 meters, with distance, climb and descent, average grade and the steepest hundred meters. Move along the chart and a ring on the map shows where you are. Areas that answer for the ground. Draw an area, a circle or a rectangle and Geo Elevation reads the ground inside it every 30 meters: lowest, highest and mean height, relief, mean and steepest slope, with the highest and lowest points marked on the map. Every path that crosses the area gets its own small profile; scrub along it and the ring follows on the map. Slope and contours. Color steep ground the way avalanche maps do, from the angle you choose, and draw contour lines at a spacing that suits the relief. On the map, and on the ground in 3D. The ground in 3D. Turn the area, raise the heights, scrub a path and watch the marker climb. Print it on paper as you turned it, or save it as an STL file for a 3D printer. Layers, as in a drawing app. Many shapes in one document, each in its own color; show, hide and reorder them. Undo and redo every step. Spot heights. Pick any point for the height of the ground there. In and out. Import GPX, KML and GeoJSON, and older Geo Elevation files. Export GPX with elevations, CSV, GeoJSON, an image or a PDF report. Quick Look shows a document's ground and profile in the Finder and in Files. Your units, your map. Kilometers or miles, meters or feet, hectares or acres; each document remembers its own. Standard, satellite, hybrid and 3D map styles. Documents are plain GeoJSON, in iCloud Drive if you want them on every device. One purchase for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro. No account, no subscription. Elevation data comes from our own server, ASTER and Mapzen at 30 m, worldwide; the app needs an internet connection to fetch it. In English, German, French, Spanish and Japanese.

Eclipse Run lets you pick the best spot for you to experience—live and in person!—Available in three languages (English, Spanish and French) it covers the eclipse of August 2nd 2027 (From Spain, across North Africa, from Morocco to Yemen). This app shows maps marking the zone where you can see the total eclipse. In the middle of the zone, is the line of maximum totality (the longest in many decades), depending on the location) The app now gives you 15 days of weather, the approximate duration of the eclipse at all spots within the zone of totality, the cloud cover for the past 2 years and the chance of clouds on eclipse day. It will also, in partnership with Booking.com help you find a place to stay. The maximum totality for this eclipse, is over 6 minutes. You just hold your finger on various spots at intersections between this line of maximum totality and a road. A dot appears. Next, by tapping on that dot, you can learn what the weather will be like at your desired location. Plus you’ll get detailed driving instructions via Maps. On your journey, Eclipse Run gives you alerts when you enter the zone of totality, and when you cross the line of maximum totality. It’s easy to understand. It will help you experience this miracle of nature—totally! The application is currently distributed by the Apple Store, for free...no in app purchase, and you get all the features!
