Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Pic at 4.7 against Shutterbug Camera Shops's 2.0. Pic also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months). Shutterbug Camera Shops's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 31%) and iOS requirement (12 vs 15.1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Pic holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pic has 1.7K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Shutterbug Camera Shops's written reviews are positive against 31% of Pic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Shutterbug Camera Shops ships an update every 6 months, Pic every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
