Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Simple Circuit Builder at Free against Electric Toolkit's $5.99. Simple Circuit Builder also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 9 months). Electric Toolkit's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (288 vs 28). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Simple Circuit Builder is free to download; Electric Toolkit costs $5.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Electric Toolkit holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Electric Toolkit has 288 ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of Electric Toolkit's written reviews are positive against 53% of Simple Circuit Builder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Electric Toolkit ships an update every 9 months, Simple Circuit Builder every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
