Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: iTrac at 100% against DATABASICS's 54%. iTrac also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 11.0). DATABASICS's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (50 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

DATABASICS holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DATABASICS has 50 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of DATABASICS's written reviews are positive against 100% of iTrac's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

DATABASICS ships an update every 3 months, iTrac every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
