Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: SWIPTV at 4.2 against Nova Iceland's 3.7. SWIPTV also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks) and ratings volume (123 vs 3). Nova Iceland's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8). On price, review sentiment, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SWIPTV sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Nova Iceland asks for nothing beyond the download.
SWIPTV holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SWIPTV has 123 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Nova Iceland's written reviews are positive against 72% of SWIPTV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Nova Iceland ships an update every 4 weeks, SWIPTV weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
