Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Esport3 at none against Matchapp's 1. Esport3 also leads on rating (4.0 vs 3.7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Matchapp's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Matchapp sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per year. Esport3 asks for nothing beyond the download.
Esport3 holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Matchapp has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Esport3's written reviews are positive against 28% of Matchapp's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Esport3 ships an update every 2 months, Matchapp monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
