Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: ManageMyTVs at 67% against mydlink's 24%. ManageMyTVs also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.6). mydlink's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (45K vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. mydlink sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. ManageMyTVs asks for nothing beyond the download.
mydlink holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: mydlink has 45K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of ManageMyTVs's written reviews are positive against 24% of mydlink's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
ManageMyTVs ships an update every 6 weeks, mydlink every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
