How stable is your process? How it performs over the time? Do your process running within the customer takt time? Measure the performance of a process with your smartphone, completely without the need for a stopwatch, paper and pen. We designed the app based on the classical 40-cycle analysis. If you are already using the 40-cycle analysis regularly to check your processes, you will save time in post-processing and evaluation, and the data will always be available. Lean Enthusiastic and interested people can test the app in their own company to see how stable the processes are running and how close to the customer tact.. The App has the following functions: • Cycle recording (stopwatch) • documentation of breakdowns during the analysis • Graphical representation of the cycle recordings • Archiving the recordings and assigning them to processes • Calculation of customer takt, planned takt and planned mashine takt
Time & Motion Study

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Cycle Check at 5.0 against Time & Motion Study's 4.4. Cycle Check also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Time & Motion Study's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cycle Check sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Time & Motion Study asks for nothing beyond the download.
Cycle Check holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time & Motion Study has 51 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Cycle Check's written reviews are positive against 76% of Time & Motion Study's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Cycle Check ships an update every 6 months, Time & Motion Study every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
