Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: BluOS Controller at 4.4 against Smart Sonix's 2.7. BluOS Controller also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (5.3K vs 7). Smart Sonix's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
BluOS Controller holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BluOS Controller has 5.3K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of BluOS Controller's written reviews are positive against 42% of Smart Sonix's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
BluOS Controller ships an update monthly, Smart Sonix every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
