Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: CampusGroups at 4.4 against Gradescope's 1.4. CampusGroups also leads on ratings volume (5.3K vs 259) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Gradescope's advantage is chart position (#133 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
