Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: Network Utility at Free against SQLite's $2.99. Network Utility also leads on review sentiment (81% vs 36%) and ratings volume (625 vs 1). SQLite's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

SQLite holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Network Utility has 625 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Network Utility's written reviews are positive against 36% of SQLite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Network Utility ships an update every 2 months, SQLite monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
