Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Network Utility at 81% against NetTools's 67%. Network Utility also leads on ratings volume (626 vs 48). NetTools's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Network Utility sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and NetTools sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
NetTools holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Network Utility has 626 ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Network Utility's written reviews are positive against 67% of NetTools's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Network Utility ships an update every 2 months, NetTools every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
