Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: WiFi File Drive at none against Network Utility's 1. WiFi File Drive also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Network Utility's advantage is ratings volume (626 vs 29). On price, rating, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Network Utility holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Network Utility has 626 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Network Utility's written reviews are positive against 86% of WiFi File Drive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Network Utility ships an update every 2 months, WiFi File Drive every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
