Easily split checks among friends, especially when taxes, tips, service charges, fees, coupons, and discounts are not included each item's price. Only three simple steps needed: 1. Scan the photo of a receipt to add the total cost and the subtotal prices of each item (you can also add/edit them manually) 2. Assign the items to payers 3. Voilà! The app will now calculate how much each payer should pay. Design features - You can choose the currency used to display the amounts (the app will remember your choice so you don't have to choose every time!) - You can multi-select items and payers during assignment to save time - You can drag item names to prices recognized from the scan, to create items quickly This lightweight app is written with Swift/SwiftUI and is completely open source on GitHub: https://github.com/Vince14Genius/Check-Splitter-SwiftUI

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Check Splitter at 5.0 against Tab's 4.2. Check Splitter also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 66%). Tab's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
