RoamChat is an AI entertainment app for adults 18 and older. Speak naturally with fictional AI characters and continue your story across calls. DISCOVER YOUR NEXT CONVERSATION Browse characters by theme or experience, from modern life and fantasy to companionship, storytelling, practice, games, inspiration and reflection. Each character has a distinct personality and world. VOICE CONVERSATIONS WITH CONTINUITY Have live AI voice conversations, review call recaps and choose which suggested memories to keep. You control your saved memories and optional transcripts. MAKE IT PERSONAL Create your own characters, choose a built-in avatar or upload a photo you have permission to use, and personalize how characters address you. Public character submissions are subject to review. PRIVACY AND SAFETY Characters are fictional AI, not real people. RoamChat is entertainment, not medical, mental-health, legal, financial or emergency advice. AI responses may be inaccurate. Voice and conversation content are processed by third-party AI services with your permission. Manage your privacy choices, report concerns and block characters in the app. CALL MINUTES Only connected conversation time uses minutes. Additional 30-, 100- and 300-minute packs use Apple In-App Purchase. Purchased minutes do not expire. Prices are displayed for your App Store region before purchase. Minute packs are not subscriptions and do not auto-renew. Requires an internet connection and a supported sign-in account. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Kickstarter at none against RoamChat's 2. Kickstarter also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months) and chart position (#152 vs unranked). RoamChat's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
