Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is monetization model: DoodleMath at free with in-app purchases against Squeebles Times Tables Connect's subscription. DoodleMath also leads on ratings volume (236 vs 3) and rating (4.0 vs 3.7). Squeebles Times Tables Connect's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 57%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. DoodleMath sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Squeebles Times Tables Connect sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

DoodleMath holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DoodleMath has 236 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of DoodleMath's written reviews are positive against 80% of Squeebles Times Tables Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

DoodleMath ships an update every 3 weeks, Squeebles Times Tables Connect every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
