Verdict
AcuraLink and FortiTrak both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of FortiTrak's written reviews are positive against 9% of AcuraLink's. AcuraLink's advantage is ratings volume (56K vs 7) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
AcuraLink holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AcuraLink has 56K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of AcuraLink's written reviews are positive against 80% of FortiTrak's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
AcuraLink ships an update fortnightly, FortiTrak every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
