Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cherry Hill Public Schools at 80% against SmartTeach's 24%. SmartTeach's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 3.2) and update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
SmartTeach holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartTeach has 1.2K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Cherry Hill Public Schools's written reviews are positive against 24% of SmartTeach's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Cherry Hill Public Schools ships an update every 6 months, SmartTeach monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
