The Bushel App (formerly Bushel Farm) helps farmers track, manage, and understand their farm’s profitability - all in one place. Replace scattered notes and spreadsheets with organized field maps, rainfall data, satellite imagery, crop marketing, land agreements, and more. With tight margins, knowing your position matters. You also deserve money that works as hard as you do. The wallet feature lets farmers open a Bushel Business Account (an interest-bearing bank account) offered by The Bancorp Bank, N.A., Member FDIC, to send and receive payments, and link existing bank accounts to easily transfer funds. Funds in a Bushel Business Account are FDIC insured up to $5 million through sweep program banks.* The Bushel App turns records into insights like cost of production, grain position, and field or crop-level profit and loss-making it easier to plan and share with partners you trust. Sync with John Deere Operations Center and Climate FieldView to cut down on manual entry. Share field records digitally for sustainability programs. Bushel’s data permission controls are built into the platform to ensure data privacy and sharing only when properly authorized by Bushel App users. Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Bushel at 5.0 against CargillAg's 3.6. Bushel also leads on chart position (#144 vs unranked) and device support (3 vs 1). CargillAg's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ratings volume (30 vs 3). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Bushel sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $8.49 per month. CargillAg asks for nothing beyond the download.
Bushel holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CargillAg has 30 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Bushel's written reviews are positive against 40% of CargillAg's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
