Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: White Screen at 4.7 against Empty Widget's 4.2. White Screen also leads on review sentiment (87% vs 67%) and ratings volume (155 vs 13). Empty Widget's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
