Bonnie

Bonnie is a gentle virtual pet who lives on your phone — a wee Highland cow with a big fringe and an even bigger heart. Warm her egg until she hatches, then feed her, pet her, and keep her happy as she pootles around her terrarium. She's tied to the real world. Choose whether Bonnie's warmth comes from your device (charging and time of day) or from your city's actual weather. When it's raining where you are, Bonnie gets wet and bedraggled. When it's sweltering, she pants in the heat — so give her a splash with the Cool button. On a cold night, she shivers. Prefer a different companion? Bonnie's the star, but there's a whole menagerie to raise — a fiery dragon, an aloof cat, a zoomie-filled dog, a sparkling unicorn, a tap-dancing penguin, a friendly spider, and a supremely chill capybara. Each keeps its own progress, so switch anytime. FEATURES • Hatch an egg, then raise your companion through feeding, petting, and play • Warmth from your device OR your city's real local weather • Bespoke weather reactions — rain, heat, and a cool-down for hot days • Lock Screen widgets to check on your pet and feed with a tap • A Live Activity so your companion can ride along in the Dynamic Island • Eight companions, each with its own personality and little tricks • Idle antics — flights, zoomies, belly-slides and more PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts. No ads. No analytics. No tracking. Bonnie's state lives on your device, and location (used only if you turn on local weather) is approximate and never stored. Adopt Bonnie today and give her a good home.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bonnie at none against IP Scanner's 4. Bonnie also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26). IP Scanner's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and device support (6 vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
